1.65-Carat Trillion Spessertine Garnet

Nicknamed the mandarin garnet, after mandarin oranges, spessartines come in a variety of yellows, reds and oranges The most sought-after color has been nicknamed "Fanta" orange due to its bright orange hue; its likelihood of having small stone inclusions that mimic the look of carbonation and in no way contribute to the name certainly is not lost on the industry professionals.

Having been discovered in the place of its namesake, Spessart, Bavaria, in 1800 we have since found more deposits in upwards of fifteen countries, most having multiple mines each making it one of the more common types of garnets. While the stone itself isn't exactly common, it's bright orange colors, especially a clean variant, is incredibly difficult to find; either in the three mines known to produce it or in circulation due to its extreme rarity and high demand.
